Italy · Beyond Peru with Chasqui
Bring your ideas to life.
See how Italy
does it.
A gelato shop that draws you in. A café that makes you want to linger. A shop that turns a collection into a brand.
Italy offers a wealth of ideas for design and retail. We help you explore them up close, from trade fairs and suppliers to places where the product, the space and the customer experience are designed together.
Let’s talk about your projectSee what you can learn in person ↓
A good brand makes an impression
before you buy.
The storefront makes you pause. The lighting draws your eye. The display helps you choose. The layout brings you closer to the product, and the way it’s presented gives you a reason to remember the place.
We visit businesses with you to see how brand concept, interiors, displays and store layout work together. The point is to understand the decisions behind the experience and see which ones could make sense for your business.
Whether you run a gelato shop, café, restaurant or fashion store, look at what people notice from the street, how the offer is presented and what customers experience from the moment they walk in to the moment they leave.

The aim is to come home with ideas
that make your own shop worth remembering.
From a memorable flavour
to a business with character.
A scoop of gelato, an espresso or a piece of chocolate can start a bigger conversation: how could you present, serve and sell what you make?

For restaurants and fashion shops, too.
In restaurants, we look at how the menu, kitchen, dining room and atmosphere fit together. In fashion, we look at how collections are displayed, what materials and lighting are used, and how customers find their way to the fitting room. In either case, what makes it easy to choose? And what makes the brand recognisable?
Inspiration matters.
So does the supplier.
We start with your industry and find the trade fair that could be most useful to your project. A hospitality equipment fair calls for a different agenda from a gelato or fashion show.
We coordinate meetings with selected suppliers and, where useful and possible, visits to their factories, workshops or production spaces. Seeing materials, finishes and equipment in use gives you a better basis for comparison.
Your itinerary can bring together cities, fairs and visits based on what you want to buy or develop. Before you commit, we clarify what you need quotes for, whether that’s products, design services or other support, and under what terms.

- A trade fair with a purpose
- We choose it around your sector and goal. SIGEP World covers gelato, coffee, pastry and other foodservice sectors. We check the right event and its dates when planning your trip.
- A visit worth preparing for
- A supplier shortlist, agreed meetings and questions about the product, how it’s made, what support is offered and how it could be adapted to your business.
- A comparison you can use
- Materials, quantities, customisation, lead times and delivery terms. Where relevant, check installation, maintenance and training too.
- An idea you can put to work
- We look at which ideas suit your premises, budget and customers. Professional design services are quoted separately.
There’s plenty to learn
outside the trade fair.
A city is a living reference for proportions, materials, shop windows and how people are welcomed. We leave time to look closely and enjoy the trip.

Bring a notebook.
Leave room to be surprised.
Write down what made you walk in, what you bought and why you chose it. Your next good idea might come from a small display, the way an espresso is served or packaging you want to keep.
We can pair business visits with cultural stops that suit your interests. Photographing interiors or production processes requires each business’s permission, which we account for when planning.
An itinerary with
room to think.
Come home with more than a full camera roll. We leave time to compare proposals, organise what you’ve seen and talk through what would help your project.
We review travel between stops, where the visits take place and any language support you need. Transport, accommodation and admission are arranged within the agreed scope. The photographs show examples; your itinerary may be different.

The everyday details matter, too. Before you leave, we review which tools will help, what payment methods are accepted and what you’ll need to reach each meeting.

Chasqui’s main focus is Peru. For trips elsewhere, we check scope, availability, suppliers and terms before making a proposal.
Advice is free. Any services you book have their own prices and terms. An enquiry does not confirm a reservation.
