Who handles your information

Information used for an enquiry
When you submit the web form, we receive the contact method you choose, contact address or phone number, your message, optional name, language, source page and an enquiry reference. We use these details to answer and coordinate the service you request. We may keep the proposal, provider confirmation and result needed to handle an arrangement.
Do not submit passport details, card information or medical records in an initial enquiry. We do not create accounts or individual agent profiles for minors. An adult can coordinate arrangements for companions while sharing only information needed for the service.
Your saved travel choices
The planning tools can keep selected places and basic travel choices in your browser for up to 30 days. This draft is not sent to Chasqui until you choose to include it in an enquiry or message. Free-form notes and contact details are not stored in this browser draft. Review or clear it through My trip.
Providers and communication channels
Our site and enquiry records run on our WordPress hosting. Access to enquiry records is restricted to authorised site administrators. We may send an operational notification to the agency mailbox when a request is received. Necessary information may be shared with the hotel, transporter or other provider to carry out the arrangement discussed with you.
Opening WhatsApp, email, maps or a provider website takes you to a separate service with its own privacy practices. WhatsApp communications use Meta’s platform. We do not add you to marketing lists merely because you make an enquiry.
Optional usage measurement
Our optional first-party measurement is off until you allow it in Cookie preferences. It counts page views and selected actions, with page and campaign labels, without storing the enquiry’s contact details or message in those counts. Aggregated counts are kept for up to 90 days. You can change the choice at any time. Hosting and security systems may also process technical request information to operate and protect the site.
Retention and your choices
We retain enquiry and booking information while needed to answer, provide the requested service, handle a related issue or meet applicable record-keeping obligations. You can request access, correction, deletion or information about the relevant records at hello@chasqui.travel. We may verify the request using the contact channel originally used and explain any information that must be retained.
Security measures include HTTPS and restricted administration. No system provides an absolute guarantee. Contact us if you believe information has been sent in error or exposed.
